Continúa la intensa campaña de recolección de los apoyos necesarios para que la Iniciativa Popular de Norma Constitucional de la CUT logre ser debatida y votada en la Convención Constitucional, en las mismas condiciones si fuera una propuesta de un o una convencional. Las CUT territoriales y las organizaciones afiliadas a la Central están poniendo todo su esfuerzo para que el principio del Trabajo Decente y con ello la garantía de protección de derechos fundamentales en el ámbito laboral y sindical, queden consagrados en la nueva Constitución Política de Chile.
El próximo 1° de febrero la Convención Constitucional cierra el plazo para la recolección de apoyos para cada Iniciativa Popular de Norma Constitucional (IPNC) que declaró admisible. Para que una IPNC pueda ser debatida y votada en el seno de la Convención, debe tener, a lo menos, 15 mil personas que la apoyen, mayores de 16 años y distribuidas, mínimamente, en 4 regiones del país. La IPNC de la CUT: «Una Constitución Política para las y los Trabajadores de Chile», N° 2.826 -declarada admisible- está avanzando rápidamente en apoyos gracias al esfuerzo que están haciendo las CUT provinciales y zonales, las organizaciones sindicales afiliadas a la Central y a las y los dirigentes de la CUT nacional que se han desplegado por distintas ciudades del país.
